The Orrell Trust have lots of volunteering opportunities for you to get involved in. We have a variety of challenging and rewarding volunteering roles to suit almost everybody. We will support you every step of the way with guidance, training, and opportunities for development. Current Volunteering Opportunities
Older Persons Projects
We are looking for volunteers for the following activities for older people:
- Coffee Morning: Hosting and hospitality roles with our Thursday morning (11am – 12pm) coffee morning.
- Down Orrell Hey (Memory Café): Supporting our memory café for people living with memory loss, their carers, and families. Weekly on Thursdays (10:30am – 12pm).
- Arts for Wellbeing: To assist with our new arts for wellbeing project, launching summer 2021.
Jolly Soap Opera Mob
We are also looking for volunteers to work alongside our sessional workers to support this fun group of young disabled adults. As a volunteer you will help with setting up the session, get involved in activities with group members, support staff with supervising the session, assisting with the planning and development of new activities, supporting trips out. (This role is subject to an enhanced DBS).
The Orrell Trust is committed to the safeguarding of children and of adults with care and supporneeds and ensuring their wellbeing. We exercise proper care in the appointment and selection of all staff and volunteers who will work with children or with adults with care and support needs.
