September 2015 saw the formation of the Community Choir comprising of members of the church family and the local community.
We have approximately 19 enthusiastic people have met under the tutelage of a highly talented and patient Choir Master, Callum Spiers.
As well as singing for fun we have performed at several events these include a Carol Concert in December 2018 where we sang four songs, ‘Angels on High’, ‘Joy to the world’, ‘O Little Town of Bethlehem’ and ‘I’m going to Sing Sing Sing’. We have took part in The Alice Experience at St George’s Hall as The Queen of Hearts playing cards, Concerts at St John & St James Church and Community Centre, we took part in The Greatest Story ever told at St Georges Hall and most recently and a collaborative concert with pupils Kings Leadership Academy High school choir.
We are always looking for new members, why not come and join us on a Wednesday evening at 6 pm, just £3.00 per week, St John & St James Church and Community Centre, you would be very welcome. Singing ability is not essential, we are there to make a joyful noise (and hopefully strike the right note and again– for Callum’s sake).
