COMMUNITY CHOIR

September 2015 saw the formation of the new Community Choir comprising of members of the church family and the local community.
To date approximately 19 enthusiastic people have met under the tutelage of a highly talented and VERY patient Choir Master, Callum Spiers, who has prepared us to sing, firstly, as part of the Carol Concert last December where we sang four songs, ‘Angels on High’, ‘Joy to the world’, ‘O Little Town of Bethlehem’ and ‘I’m going to Sing Sing Sing’.
We have taken part in many concerts and drama productions including The Alice Experience at St George’s Hall as The Queen of Hearts playing cards, Christmas Concerts at St John & St James Church and Community Centre and most recently we took part in The Greatest Story ever told at St Georges Hall.
Come and join us on a Wednesday evening at 6 pm, just £3.00 per week, St John & St James Church and Community Centre, you would be very welcome.
Singing ability is not essential, we are there to make a joyful noise (and hopefully strike the right note and again– for Callum’s sake).
